My sister just moved to Wisconsin and she continually talks about the weather as the central topic of conversation. Probably because it is so much more dramatic than living in Atlanta. The Weather Channel has just made my life easier in keeping up with my local weather and where my sister lives. A few days ago The Weather Channel updated their iPad app by overhauling it with a ton of new features that look pretty cool especially the animation features. The Weather Channel iPad app are listed below:
• Gorgeous animated weather backgrounds for your local conditions (iPad 2 devices)
• Beautiful HD weather photo backgrounds
• Interactive spinning globe with the world’s weather
• Full screen, customizable weather maps
• In-motion radar map
• Latest news coverage, expert tweets, and user photos
• Riveting storm footage and breaking news video
• Push alerts for severe weather in your selected location
• iOS 5 compatible
Is this app update you can follow The Weather Channel Twitter updates from Jim Cantori and all there meteorologists. You can also keep up with their current headlines. We like how they integrated Facebook, Twitter and email and the ability to upload iWitness photos and video directly from your iPad 2 device.
The Weather Channel iPad App is available on the app store for free.
